Build A Roomba

The Roomba is widely known for its autonomous vacuuming capabilities, but in this camp, students will transform it to do much more! Kids will explore and utilize the SCI interface; by attaching a blue tooth interface to the Roomba, students will achieve control over their robot from any location connected to the internet. More importantly, students will give the Roomba vision by mounting a streaming wireless web camera on top. This will allow the robot to become your home security sentry by allowing you to view your home at all times via the internet. Students will program the web camera to communicate with any computer on the internet using the 802.11 wireless network*.

*There may be minor additional costs if the students' home does not have a wireless network or their home computer is not blue tooth enabled. Please call for details.
