Digital Film Making

Digital Film Making is a realm of infinite possibilities where anyone's imagination can run rampant. While in this camp, students will work as a film "crew" to write, produce, film, direct, edit and finalize a short film or a documentary. Students will learn all the important elements of film making such as writing script, casting the cast, production, special effects and finally distribution and marketing. They will also gain the aesthetic perception needed to make a film of any genre, be it a horror, drama, comedy, or documentary. Digital Film Campers will film using a top-of-the-line Sony Digital Camera, add effects using Adobe After Effects © and edit their project using Apple Final Cut Pro© -all on Apple Laptops. All film makers will take home their creation on a DVD and everyone will be invited to a class film festival on Friday afternoon. All students will be encouraged to submit their films to local youth film festivals.
