Introduction to Java

The new Introduction to Java Course has arrived! In this course, campers will learn the fundamentals of Java programming. Students will be introduced to concepts such as variables, constants, classes, arrays, and more. The goal of this class is to build fundamental concepts of programming, and to learn how to "think like a programmer". Campers will learn how their code interacts with the computer, how it is compiled, how to JAR their project, and how to distribute their programs over the internet using Java Web Start. At the end of this course, students will take home their programs, and will be given the tools in order to continue their programming experience on their own at home.

  • Small Class Size

As in past all of our new camps will be project-based and will be all hands-on. We work with children from amongst them, rather than standing at the front of the classroom and giving lectures. Our teacher/student ratio is 1/7. The small class size allows students maximum individualized learning opportunities. Our class ratio is based on student/teacher ratio not on staff ratio.
