VTC Xtreme Gaming for Teens is a two week intensive study of game design and development. The program includes hands-on learning on individual computer or laptops, running all the pro software. The VTC Xtreme gaming program will be a unique blend of hands-on labs, lectures and discussions as well as experimentations.

Campers will use 3ds Max, Photoshop, and the Unreal game engine to bring their ideas from concept to a fully working 3D game. Campers will also learn advanced scripting, modeling, animation, and lighting, for the Unreal Engine 3.0. Each camper will run 3ds Max on their individual computer. Autodesk® 3ds Max® software is a powerful, integrated 3D modeling, animation, and rendering application. Its easy-to-learn environment enables students to create top notch char actors,textures and animation for their games. Campers will be introduced to all the important parts of game design with emphasis on these key areas: basic lighting, texturing, rendering and animation techniques, creating 3d graphics, models, skins and low and high polygon modeling.

This two week camp will challenge the students to create an original game on a Unreal Game Engine 3.0. Working as a design team, campers will create levels, characters and content for a multi player game. While the focus of VTC XTreme Gaming Camp is to acquaint campers with the game design and development process, the end result will be a polished game that has been created by the camper and tested by their peers. Each camper will present their completed game portfolio for a Friday demonstration along with advice for future development.

If you are interested in exploring the world of video games and aspire to a very lucrative career in the video game industry, then this camp is for you. All campers will be encouraged to pursue further studies in game design.

Prerequisite: We recommend that student have an experience with 3D Game Design or Game Modding and strong desire to build games.
