A typical day at VisionTech Camps & Classes.

 

VisionTech normal camp hours are from 9 am to 4 pm. Extended hours are available from 8 am to 5 pm for a nominal cost of $75. Hald day Robotics run from 9-12 pm and Game Design from 1-4 pm.

 

9 AM: Campers start arriving.

 

9 - 11 AM: Depending on the course campers have chosen they may dive into building their robot, making 2D video game, 3D video games or building a pc. Instructors will help as needed and introduce new topic or concepts for the day. Campers share their project with fellow campers.

 

10:45 AM: Campers a short snack break and hang around for a while.

 

11 AM: We switch gears and depending on the course campers are taking they may be "testing" games for ideas or looking into finished projects to get inspiration or watching short films to get a better idea of camera angles and lighting.

 

Lunch: Campers go out to eat lunch and talk with instructors and new friends they meet in the camp. Campers bring their own packed lunches every day except Friday. On Friday we provide pizza, drinks and ice cream!

 

12:30 PM: Time to hang out! We have many activities planned. Some downtime activities campers can choose from are capture the flag, chess and card games, logic games, laser tag. Campers can also watch a documentary,tournament videos or films or even fly a model helicopter

 

1:00 PM: Can't wait to get back to the computers! Campers start working on their projects. All students work in a pace comfortable to them. Instructors encourage them to take on new challenges and explore new ideas.

 

3:00 PM: Get more help and ask more questions. The agenda for the next few days is laid out to prepare campers. Campers start wrapping up their day by finding a good place to conclude their project.

 

4:00 PM: Parents are back to see what their kids have been working on. Campers are always thrilled to show their project to their parents and siblings. Some however prefer to keep it as a surprise for the last day.

 

Highlights :

• Exciting robotics tournament on Friday. Everyone is invited!
• Friday ice cream, pizza and drinks.
• Games are tested. They love to be beta testers and see if they can beat each others games.
• Project show time.
